Tatler is a high fashion style magazine. in this issues front cover showcasing a male model in a very upper class environment and outfit. this embodies the essence of tatler as a very upperclass magazine. the model is posed in a way to exude confidence while looking comfortable, this a purposeful choice to coerce the potential customers into buying the magazine so they could learn or embody how the model looks. They have purposefully lighted the modelina way so he stands out from the more shadow full background and theyve edited the photo in a way to show off the quality of material of the things within the photo. A good use of alliteration with ‘The Rupert Renaissance’. The typograpghy of the stories is very minimalistic but purposefully easy to read. This is similar to what i want my magazine to do as i aim to model my magazine loosely off of Tatler’s design and messages.
VOGUE is one of the highest fashion syle mags on the market. In this issue the model is posed in a way to show off how comfortable they are in the clothes they wear. The model is posed in front of a one colour background to allow the focus of the reader to be on the model, this minimalistic approach places the reader focused on the model and their 'stories' immediately creating a sense of intrigue from the reader in the model. They have purposefully edited the image to show off the model making them as clear as possible and centralised in the magazines front cover. The fonts on this cover are very minimalistic which also helps the reader to focus on the model.
Im using these as my inspiration for my magazine as the both are very successful style magazines but also because they embody the essentials of what makes something a style magazine.
